That Little Gnarled Dude Sitting On The Rock – For The Highly Sensitive Person

It was one of those weeks when I was feeling kind of down – not a hard thing for the highly sensitive person. And then one night I had a vivid dream.

In the dream I saw a squat little gnarled dude sitting on a rock. He was citing in a high piping voice a litany of all my deficiencies and pronouncing me hopeless.

And then he proudly stated, “My name is Logic.”

At that moment a huge, powerful, gloriously beautiful column of swirling golden light swept into the dream. It was emoting loving kindness and a warm regard for me. It floated over to the little gnarled Logic dude on the rock, dwarfing him with its magnificent light, and said, “Hi Logic; my name is Truth.”

I woke up transformed. There’s nothing like a dose of real Truth to make a person feel better.

Be blessed.

That is one of the most beautiful things that I have ever read. As a highly sensitive christian, i’ve been in an inner conflict- one voice tells me that unless I follow the rules of the Bible perfectly, I’m worthless to God, the other calls gently to me to sing and worship and rest in Him. Thank you so much for the perfect post at the perfect time. God bless you.

Thank you. And I’ll have to give credit to the Holy Spirit. He tells us the most amazing stories while we sleep.

That WAS a beautiful story. I wish I had such dreams. It confirms a revelation that I believe God gave me: the TRUTH is not the same as the FACTS. The TRUTH is ALWAYS much more hopeful than even the worst FACTS!!! Learning that was a very important part of my path to emotional healing.

This site is very healing. It’s comforting just to know that it exists.
